David De Gea is set for an emotional return to Old Trafford with our next home opponents, Fiorentina.
After a spell out of the game, the four-time Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year winner joined the Serie A side last August.
He enjoyed an impressive campaign in Italy, making 42 appearances and keeping 11 clean sheets, as he showed some of the agility and reflexes he had displayed during his time as a Red.
The 34-year-old has signed a new contract until 2028 and is, consequently, in line to feature in our pre-season friendly on 9 August.
Such a popular figure during his time in Manchester, David is guaranteed a great reception and tickets are available now to purchase for the 12:45 BST kick-off.
The game represents a last chance for Ruben Amorim to fine-tune his troops, ahead of the Premier League starting the following weekend.
It should also offer an opportunity for United fans to welcome Matheus Cunha to his new home, with the Brazil forward just needing his visa and registration to be processed, in order to complete his proposed move from Wolves.
