While his asking price of 25 million is not expected to be a major issue for either club, his wages of 250,000 per week (via capology) could prove to be a stumbling block.
While the Magpies will need to rely on sales to make space for Jadon Sancho in their wage bill, the London side will need the ex-Manchester City academy star to take a 50 per cent pay cut.

He has already turned down Chelsea, so it makes little sense that he will agree to lower his demands to play for Brentford. While Eddie Howe is unlikely to entertain a player accused of laziness and tardy timekeeping at Newcastle.
Options seem to be running out for the former Borussia Dortmund star. United will be desperately hoping to find a solution as soon as possible.
